Moving back to fitness with Health Circuit

As one of our many inspiring customers, Chris discussed why he began to attend Health Circuit, how it helped and what his steps are for the future. Chris is an incredible example of the value exercise can provide after struggling with health problems and its ability to increase confidence, even after facing challenges.

After suffering from a stroke 10 years ago, Chris completed PAL’s as part of his rehabilitation and was able to return to work because of his exercise routine. Now semi-retired, Chris has been able to make time for health classes and states “I am keen to do this to prevent me from having another stroke, I know how valuable exercise is”. Further, he said that the classes promote social interaction and being able to test himself on new equipment and different exercises in Health Circuit. “I also trust KAL staff from previous experience and wouldn’t go anywhere else for exercise”.

Chris explained that Health Circuit gave him the confidence to try other classes like mature movers, allowing him to better judge his fitness level and more confidently approach different classes available. According to Chris, “I’m also confident in using the gym as my instructor showed me how to use the equipment and set the right intensity, so I now use the gym as well as health circuit”.

When asked what his next steps are, Chris stated “I’d like to be a role model and show others what they can do, as I was once less fit than I am now. I’d also like to volunteer on the stroke ward and support people after their stroke”. Chris is a massive role model to KAL and we are lucky to have customers like him. Thank you, Chris!
